Privacy Policy

This policy explains what JustBaila collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you. Underground membership is limited to adults age 18 and older.

Information we collect

• Information you provide, including your display name, contact information you choose to save, Classifieds posts and responses, nominations, notes, and requests.
• Underground activity, including card activation, attendance, missions, milestones, Keys, rewards, Workshop and Technique Lab history, Signals, and related timestamps.
• Security and device information needed to operate the service, including random card identifiers, NFC hardware identifiers, hashed PIN credentials, access sessions, rate-limit records, and security logs. We do not store your four-digit PIN in readable form.

How we use information

We use information to provide dance instruction and events; operate and secure Underground accounts and physical cards; record participation and requested feedback; facilitate member-directed introductions; prevent abuse; respond to requests; and maintain the service.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that host or protect the site, including Cloudflare and the site-hosting provider. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or with your direction. Classifieds contact information remains private unless you deliberately share it with a specific respondent.

Public and third-party services

The main site links to third-party services such as Google Calendar, booking services, Instagram, and Spotify. Their privacy practices apply after you leave JustBaila. The site may load fonts from Google.

Retention

We retain account and participation records while an Underground membership remains active and as reasonably needed for administration, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. We periodically remove expired sessions and may anonymize or delete information that is no longer needed.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, close an Underground account, deactivate a card, or withdraw optional contact information. Some records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving transactions.

Security

We use access controls, hashed identifiers and PIN credentials, rate limits, and restricted administrative tools. No system is completely secure, so keep your card and PIN private and report a lost card promptly.

Adults only

The Underground and its member features are intended only for people age 18 and older. We do not knowingly create Underground accounts for minors. Contact us if you believe a minor's information has been submitted.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, a renewed member acknowledgment. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to justbaila@gmail.com or made by phone at (805) 570-1974.
